Project Manager – Hellfire and Marketing Manager, Acorn Technologies

Ms. Rahima Loghdey

Rahima has a Masters in Industrial Sociology and a diploma in project management. Over the last ten years, she has utilized her existing competencies in the aspects of business mentorship, leadership training, fundraising and marketing. She has developed and implemented projects and management tools for the Department of Social Services and various Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry members, around “internships” to increase employability of youth, accessing over 250 jobs for youth in the hospitality and film and video sector over three years. Rahima further has experience in developing models for and implementing mentorship for Small Medium Micro Enterprises (SMME's), training International Labor Organisation’s accredited material to improve businesses and serving on the selection panel of The Nations Trust (micro-finance for Usubomvu). 

Rahima has completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Management at the UCT Graduate School of Business which enhances her capacity to develop projects for and market Acorn Technologies.

Project Coordinator – Hellfire and Marketing Administrator, Acorn Technologies

Ms. Wardah Moerat

Upon completing her B.Soc.Sci degree in Public Affairs and Administration from UCT, Wardah worked for a year at a research company as an administrator and Personal Assistant to the Director.  In January 2004, Wardah took up a permanent post with Acorn Technologies in the position of Administrator. After completion of a Sales & Marketing Management Diploma, she is part of the Marketing and Promotions team at Acorn Technologies. Wardah is responsible for most of Acorn Technologies’ office communications, events management and day-to-day administration.

Financial Manger – Hellfire and Acorn Technologies

Mrs. Camille Potgieter

Cam has been employed at Acorn Technologies from the start of 2004 in the position of Financial Administrator.  Having obtained a Diploma in Management Accounting & Finance,  she was employed in 1999 by Tech Ink (Pty) Ltd where she set up the admin and financial processes in the manufacturing environment.  Cam's responsibilities grew and in 2001 she took on the position of Financial Manager.  During that time she completed a Higher certificate in Financial Management on a part time basis.  She left the company in 2003 after having a baby, but has since returned in a full-time capacity as Financial Manager.

 

Dr. Peter Breitenbach was instrumental in conceptualising and designing the Hellfire Internship Programme.

Although he has exited the programme, he continues research in the area of skills development and entrepreneurship.
